MEGURO CITY NIOR

from $80.00

Location: Meguro City, Tokyo | 11.30 PM.

Photographer: Adam Lyons

Photographer’s Take This is about the sensory overload of Tokyo. I wasn't looking for a sharp subject here; I wanted to capture the light-trails and the sheer speed of the district. It’s a long-exposure experiment that turned into a vertical smear of neon and movement. We kept it for the archive because it feels like the energy of the city is literally bleeding off the paper.

Interior Designer’s Guide This print is a Movement Catalyst. Because of the vertical light-trails and the layered "glitch" effect, it’s great for narrow spaces that feel stagnant, so think at the end of a long hallway or on a structural pillar.

It carries a heavy "Tokyo Amber" DNA…that dirty, warm glow from street lamps and vending machines. This makes it a perfect companion for a more static, architectural shot from the same district. While a still image provides the anchor, this print provides the frequency. It breaks the grid and adds a sense of passing time to a room.
