Photographer’s Take This was a study in framing and layers. Standing at the top of the stairs, you have this sharp, architectural transition from the cold night air above to the heavy, sodium-lit warmth of the subway. It’s a voyeuristic shot—one person moving into the light. We chose this for the archive because of the symmetry. The way the handrails and the tiles lead your eye straight down into the heat of the station. It feels like a portal.
Interior Designer’s Guide This print is a Depth Multiplier. Because of the strong leading lines and the downward perspective, it creates the illusion of more space on a flat wall. It’s an ideal "structural anchor" for rooms that feel a bit boxed in.
